so much depends
upon

a small, yet keen
needle

dripping with hope
for normalcy

together with thousands
of masked strangers

  1. Love this! I can identify with “thousands of masked strangers.” I came out of my first vaccine appointment commenting about the sheer numbers of people I had been around. But we were all masked and safely distanced (except for the ones giving us our shots).

  2. What a powerful poem. “so much depends… ” these opening lines get me every time. I was so emotional when I finally got that prick – craving that normalcy along with you!
